IFCEST was successfully held at Beijing University of Chemical Technology.

From July 26 to July 28, 2024, the International Forum on Clean Energy Science and Technology (IFCEST), co-hosted by Beijing University of Chemical Technology and the journal of Clean Energy Science and Technology (CEST), was successfully held at Beijing University of Chemical Technology.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Weimin Yang, Co-Editor-in-Chief of CEST. Opening remarks were delivered by Prof. Tianwei Tan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, among others. The forum invited a wide range of top experts and young scientists, including domestic and international academicians, Changjiang Scholars, and National Outstanding Youth Scientists. On the morning of the 27th, Plenary Speakers included Professor Xianfeng Fan, Editor-in-Chief of the journal and professor at the University of Edinburgh, UK; Marc Rosen, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and professor at Ontario Tech University, Canada; Professor Weimin Yang, Co-Editor-in-Chief of the journal; Dr. Richard Blanchard from Loughborough University, UK; Professor Guohua Xie from Xiamen University, et,al. On the morning of the 28th, Plenary Speakers included Prof. Seeram Ramakrishna, an elected International Fellow and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, China, the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng), UK, and Singapore Academy of Engineering, from the National University of Singapore; Researcher Zhenyu Tian from the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Professor Jieshan Qiu from Beijing University of Chemical Technology; and Professor Guanjun Zhang from Xi'an Jiaotong University, among 15 other domestic and international experts who delivered impressive plenary talk.

On the afternoon of the 27th, experts and scholars from various research fields participated in related thematic parallel forums. The forum featured five main thematic sessions: Green Energy, Multiphase Flow in Energy Systems, Energy Storage and Conservation, Fuel Cells and Building Energy Efficiency, and Biomass and Energy Catalysis. A total of 61 experts and scholars presented academic reports across these sub-forums.

Following the keynote speeches, the closing ceremony was attended by Haijia Su, vice president of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and Hongjie Yu, secretary of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, who delivered closing remarks. The International Forum on Clean Energy Science and Technology concluded successfully.
