Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
In recent years, the field of thermal photonics has emerged with the development of micro/nano optics. Thermal photonic structures are artificial micro/nano structures whose dimensions are comparable to or smaller than the thermal wavelength in at least one direction. Compared with conventional thermal radiation, thermal photonic structures exhibit very different and excellent optical properties, bringing a novel technological revolution in energy applications.
Thus, we present a special issue on "Thermal Photonics and Energy Applications". This special issue aims to reveal the exotic optical phenomena embedded in thermal photonic structures, clarify the underlying physical mechanisms, and expand the applications of thermal photonics in the energy field. The above research will further complement and improve the fundamental theories and research methods of thermal photonics, promote the multidisciplinary cross-disciplinary integration of optics, thermal physics, and other disciplines, and is expected to broaden the frontiers of thermal science, laying the foundation for the research on the efficient utilization of energy. This special issue solicits the following topics, but not limited to:
