First Anniversary of the journal of FNC
Join us in celebrating the first anniversary of the FNC Journal's publication!
Since its launch in March 2023, the FNC Journal has successfully released three issues, featuring two editorials, seven research articles, and eight review articles. We have had the honor of collaborating with scholars from six different countries, to whom we extend our heartfelt thanks.
The Editor-in-Chief of this journal is also the corresponding author of a significant article titled "Research progress on bioactive components and functions of fruits and vegetables." This comprehensive piece encapsulates the primary functions of bioactive components found in fruits and vegetables, such as their antioxidant, antitumor, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, hypolipidemic, immunomodulatory, neuroprotective, anti-fatigue, and gut flora-enhancing properties. It offers an in-depth review that elucidates the variety of bioactive components in fruits and vegetables, their multifaceted functions, and their prospective roles in the prevention and treatment of metabolic diseases.
The authors highlight that, despite extensive research into the bioactive components of fruits and vegetables, the majority of studies have been confined to in vitro or animal models, with a notable scarcity of human clinical trials. They propose that network pharmacology represents a cutting-edge and focal area within the realm of bioactive functional ingredients. By leveraging high-throughput omics data analysis, virtual computing, and database mining, the full spectrum of fruits and vegetables' bioactivities can be unveiled, paving the way for future research and applications.
